Accor will manage Australia’s first Mondrian hotel and branded residences — to be built on the Burleigh Heads beachfront on the Gold Coast.

The dual-tower Mondrian Gold Coast will be constructed on an expansive 43,453 square foot (4037sqm) beachfront site on the corner of First Avenue and The Esplanade, Burleigh Heads, 80 metres of ocean frontage.

Guests and residents will have direct access to the sand and surf of Burleigh Heads Beach.

Mondrian Gold Coast will feature two distinct towers to separate the private residences, comprised of 89 luxury residential apartments, from the hotel, which will encompass 208 guestrooms.

The buildings will be united by a three-level podium that acts as a common space and hub of activity, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre, spa, restaurants, and swimming pools, all overlooking the world-famous beach and Burleigh Headland National Park.

Redhead Beach: catch one of Lake Mac’s best sunsets.

The days are growing longer, with spring and summer being the perfect seasons for watching the sun and fluffy clouds paint the sky at dusk.

Only a 90-minute drive from Sydney, NSW’s hidden coastal gem, Lake Macquarie, boasts some of the state’s most idyllic spots to watch the sun go down … most of which you won’t have to share with another soul.

Perch yourself high overlooking Redhead Beach, for instance, to catch one of Lake Mac’s best sunsets.

Enjoy the sun slowly sinking behind the mountains as the crashing blue waves — favoured by surfers — rumble onto the sandy shores of the beach below.

It’s a special moment to witness first-hand — giving the feeling that everything is moving in slow motion.
