They conducted a world-wide system tender and signed a contract to use ISO Travel Solutions as future technology provider for their future digital travel distribution platform “VisitOman.om”.

The aim of the project is to provide B2B government authorized digitally native online booking and information gateway for Oman’s Travel Trade sector which makes all tourism products in Oman bookable online with instant confirmation. The products can be booked as components or as individual packages, enabling the trade partner to create and book dream vacations in Oman.

ISO provides a tailor-made internet booking engine for B2B usage on the visitoman.om website, the core reservation system Pacific, the online connections to all external suppliers and the complete integration into the IT landscape of the National Travel Operator VisitOman.om.

“The launch of the VisitOman.om platform is an important step for the Sultanate to achieve its vision by investing in the tourism sector’s value chain, whilst the government is implementing and activating the tourism distribution strategy that aims to increase inbound tourism to the Sultanate from various major regional and international markets. This platform will enhance the contribution of local and international partners through various investment and business opportunities and will work to strengthen strategic tourism and commercial partnerships with the service providers who will benefit from the promising opportunities that the platform will provide.”

“ISO is extremely proud to be chosen by the National Travel Operator of Oman as partner to provide the core software components for the future digital tourism strategy of the Sultanate of Oman. The Omani team impressed us with their professional and detailed approach. They really do have a plan and work continuously to achieve their high goals. We are thankful to be part of such an impressive team and the important ‘Visitoman’ initiative, which defines the next decades of tourism IT for all Omani suppliers and products.

We are glad, our continuous efforts to expand our solutions and to be present in the Middle East have made us win again such a prestigious customer. This project will strengthen our position in the software market of systems and internet solutions for incoming and DMCs – not only in the Middle East but also in other parts of the world with similar requirements.”
