The U.S. Travel Association shared good news this week of a development that promises to help hundreds of qualified, registered international travel buyers and media join IPW live and in-person in Las Vegas next month.

The U.S. Government has extended to U.S. Travel Association the opportunity to apply for 30-day group National Interest Exceptions (NIE) rather than having international delegates in markets facing entry restrictions (including the UK, EU, mainland China and Brazil) submit individual applications.

While each delegate in U.S. Travel’s group application will require approval by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (and must meet all other entry requirements), this system will be an efficient and effective process to ensure international IPW attendees receive full consideration for a NIE for U.S. entry before IPW kicks off. Submissions are due to U.S. Travel Association by September 3, 2021.
