Hertz Asia Pacific is pleased to announce the appointment of International Car Rental Laos Ltd. as its new franchise partner that will operate both Hertz and Thrifty brands in Laos from April 2021.

Hertz is continuing to invest resources in the Indochina region to help cater to the growing needs of its customers. This is the fourth Indochina market to offer both the Hertz and Thrifty brands, with vehicles initially available in Vientiane, and in the future at additional major locations within Laos.

Hertz is confident that this new partnership is the right one to drive growth for Hertz and Thrifty in the market. General Manager of International Car Rental Laos Ltd., Alberto Correra, has over 20 years’ experience in the travel and vehicle rental industries. Under his leadership, Hertz aims to provide short and long-term rental options to international corporations, government and leisure renters in Laos.

The first rental location will be in downtown Vientiane with a fleet that will include sedans, people movers, large SUVs, vans and 4×4 trucks available for long-term and short-term rental, leasing and chauffeur drive.

Eoin MacNeill, Vice President of Hertz Asia Pacific, said: “Hertz is proud to partner with franchisees since 1925 and is delighted to further expand our presence throughout Asia and continue to offer international travellers and locals high-quality car rental options suitable for all needs.

“Laos is a particularly exciting area of expansion for us and one that we’re very confident we will continue to grow successfully in the region under the expertise of Alberto Correra and his team.”

Mr. Correra said: “I am honoured to be appointed by Hertz to grow its Hertz and Thrifty network and service the needs of customers within Asia. We are also well positioned to support the expected growth in outbound business as travel resumes from this region into other parts of Asia and elsewhere in the world.

“We look forward to bringing the same level of service and expertise to Laos that Hertz and Thrifty customers have come to expect globally.”
