Healing Stone Japanese Day Spa Opens at Emporium Hotel South Bank

July 30, 2019 Health and Wellness No Comments

Brisbane’s 5-star luxury boutique hotel, Emporium Hotel South Bank, is delighted to announce the opening of Healing Stone, a Japanese inspired day spa which adds a further touch of indulgence to the hotel and provides a relaxing haven for both in-house guests and Brisbane locals.

Healing Stone presents a unique offering with Ganbanyoku, the ‘hot rock sauna’ originating from Japan, offering a more therapeutic and gentler experience than traditional saunas. With beds lined in fabric over Himalayan rock salt, the treatment infuses air with negative ions evoking calm and relaxation for a general sense of wellbeing. Positive effects of Ganbanyoku result in a range of amazing benefits including boosting the immune system, detoxifying the body, reducing stiffness and helping promote clear skin and the production of collagen.

Located on Level 21 of Emporium Hotel South Bank and designed to complement the expansive rooftop pool and existing steam room, sauna and plunge pool facilities, the day spa wellness program will offer an extensive selection of massage treatments including shiatsu, relaxation oil massage, reflexology (foot massage), acupoint for head, face, neck and shoulders and remedial. All services can be followed by Ganbanyoku to experience the full benefits of the massage treatments and enter a deeper state of relaxation.

The design features a tranquil setting highlighting Japanese black timber cladding and bluestone paving, with the massage rooms featuring backlit bamboo feature walls and traditional grass weave fabric. The Ganbanyoku room itself showcases a stunning backlit pink Himalayan salt wall and heated rock salt bedding.

General Manager Charles Martin said that the Healing Stone day spa is set to cater to in-house guests and locals in need of rest and relaxation.  “Healing Stone offers a bespoke and sophisticated wellness retreat for guests, residents and visitors alike to Emporium Hotel South Bank and is the perfect addition to our Exquisite Experiences”

While offering an invigorating experience to the individual, Healing Stone also offers double treatment rooms to allow guests to share their revitalisation with friends and loved ones. Emporium Hotel South Bank will soon launch a series of bespoke packages to complete your indulgent experience, made available on the hotel website, www.emporiumhotels.com.au.

The Healing Stone Day Spa will be open 7 days a week.
