Refined dining destination Greater China Club opens to the public on 1 May 2020, revoking membership and celebrating a new era with a range of irresistible dining offers, including 30% off lunch dim sum menus, 15% off dinner a la carte menu and up to 30% off signature tasting menus.  A range of takeaway promotions are also launched, including extensive new takeaway options in line with the trend towards home-office dining.

The exquisite dining hot spot atop Lai Chi Kok cultural destination D2 Place One has long been renowned for the stylish contemporary Cantonese cuisine of multi-award winning Master Chef Chan Wai-Teng at signature Cantonese dining room Man Hing.  The rebranding now combines Man Hing with The Gatsby, a multi-functional venue for banquets, weddings and events, and bespoke international menu of global flavours and seasonal, regional culinary themes.

“Greater China Club has made its name as a hidden gem for members, with visitors not generally aware they were welcome to dine.  Now the club is moving with the times, revoking membership and rebranding as a dining and events destination open to all,” said Mr Eric Ting, CEO and Founder of Bird Kingdom Group, managing company of Greater China Club.

Among rebranding promotions, one of Greater China Club’s popular dishes, The Flaming Fortune Chicken, which invites guests to open from its casing with a ‘golden hammer’, is offered at just HK$188 (originally priced HK$788) for dinner. “The Chinese name for our Flaming Fortune Chicken means ‘rich and lucky’, and we hope to bring good fortune to our guests after the first few difficult months in 2020,” said Mr Ting.

A celebrated signature, dim sum, is showcased with a new Man Hing Dim Sum Platter of seven signature favourites suggested for 2, discounted from HK$284 to HK$198.  Decadent and insta-worthy, the platter features Steamed Shrimp Dumplings with Celery in Golden Fish Shape; Deep-Fried Prime Iberico Pork & Dried Shrimp Dumpling; Pan-Fried Barbecued Pork BunsXiao Long Bao with Minced Pork & Tangerine Peel in Chicken Soup; Baked Turnip Cake Stuffed with Diced Shrimp & Mushroom; Sweetened Black Sesame Rolls; and Chilled Chinese Hawthorn & Coconut Pudding.

A 30% discount is also on a la carte dim sum lunch orders, offering over 30 choices of Chef Chan’s signature dim sum specialties.

While all a la carte dishes are subject to 15% discount until 31 May 2020, a new Greater China Club Signature Set Menu for four is meanwhile being launched on 11 May 2020, with a choice of two 12-course set menus at HK$1,888 (originally priced HK$2,488), featuring three appetisers, one soup, four main courses, one rice and two desserts.

The “Drum” menu is headlined by Braised Assorted Dried Seafood Soup with Saffron; Braised Sliced Pork Belly with Dried Bamboo & Chinese Cabbage; Sautéed Fish Rolls Stuffed with Chinese Ham & Vegetables; and Deep Fried Crispy Chicken Coated with Crispy Rice & Garlic.
