Flight Centre Corporate has today welcomed Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk’s announcement that from 1 am AEST Saturday, 15 January 2022, domestic border restrictions for people entering from a hotspot will no longer be in place.

“The need for pre-arrival testing has been a real pain point for corporate travellers wanting to come to Queensland and the lifting of restrictions will be a significant win for businesses big and small,” said Managing Director Australia James Kavanagh.
“We’ve long championed that vaccinations are the pathway to freedom and today’s announcement is another major step in living with COVID-19 as Australia moves into a new phase.
“Looking at Queensland’s domestic economy, the state’s goods exports increased to $68.9 billion in the 12 months to October 2021, with the Sunshine State exporting $7.9 billion in the month of October 2021 alone.

“SMEs and big business are the backbones to Queensland’s and Australia’s economic recovery and it has never been more critical to have a travel management company on your side as we navigate the next phase of travel for business and leisure.”
