Those who’ve had the pleasure of dining at a Carlton in Singapore know the hotelier’s reputation for outstanding cuisine is well deserved. Indeed, even discerning diners who’ve never visited the Lion City may well have heard of Wah Lok, Carlton’s famed Cantonese restaurant.

But there are many more reasons to dine at Carlton.

Presenting Plate all-day dining restaurant, now open at Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit and serving

Western and Asian popular classic dishes in addition to authentic à la carte selections and set lunch menu.

The spacious venue offers indoor and outdoor seating amid sleek, modern design motifs – an ideal setting for Plate’s inspired global fare. However, this is more than a hotel restaurant where any edges have been smoothed out to a bland internationalism. At Plate, Singaporean, and Thai cuisine heritages are expressed in full flavour, as are other Asian and Western culinary traditions.

Keeping things well arranged at Plate is the hotel’s executive chef, Kan Bright San. His 30-year career includes experience not only in Singapore but also in China as well as more than a decade of culinary experiences in Thailand.

Among menu specialities Chef Bright will oversee are Carlton’s signature Peranakan dishes rare to find in Bangkok such as traditional Singaporean Chicken Rice, Laksa, Stingray Curry or Bak Kut The. In fact, Plate is one of few places outside the Lion City where diners can enjoy this unique blend of Singaporean, Malaysian, and Indonesian culinary influences. Other highlights include fare from the chef’s home country of Malaysia, such as Chicken Satay, along with local dishes like Thai-inspired Larb Salmon. Western favourites include Boeuf Bourguignon, traditional fish and chips, Roman-style pizza (pinsa), Vegetarian Burgers, and other wide-ranging global fare.

Yes, there’s now a plateful of reasons to experience Carlton’s culinary excellence in Bangkok.

Set lunch menu available starting from THB 280++, inclusive of mixed salad, the must-try main dish of your choice such as Singapore Laksa Noodle; Carlton Chicken Rice; Carlton Burger (Angus Beef Burger or Vegetarian Burger); Crispy Pork Belly, dessert of the day, and coffee or tea.
