Spread the love

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest lights display, the Christmas Lights Spectacular, will be spreading holiday magic to families and friends from 5th November, 2020 until 26th January, 2021. This year, Hunter Valley Gardens has a range of newly created immersive displays that will dazzle guests with lights they’ve never seen before.

With over three million lights illuminating the Gardens, Hunter Valley Gardens is the perfect place to escape with the family and make truly special memories this holiday season – with only a short 2-hour drive from Sydney. Visitors will be dazzled with more than 20 new displays this year, in addition to previous crowd favourite installations that spread across 14 hectares of immaculate gardens; The Christmas Lights Spectacular is the ‘not-to-missed’ event for all ages.

This year, the Gardens’ favourite Christmas essentials are back better than ever. Families can capture a moment next to the eight meter tall Mega Christmas tree, stroll along and take their little elves to visit Santa’s enchanting workshop, where there are several opportunities to say hello to Santa Claus himself, and have a photo with him at his 6m long Sleigh!

Couples can again soak up the romantic energy in the Lover’s Corner, an experience created for those wanting to celebrate their love this festive season. For the extra magical touch, don’t forget the popular light tunnels, where you can walk amidst the stars as you wander through hundreds of lights.

While most travel is off the cards for the time being, Hunter Valley Gardens are thrilled to introduce their Around the World display, where guests are able to wander past some of the world’s most famous landmarks; including the new Australiana scene.

For the young and young at heart, there will be even more fun with The Gardens’ giant Walk-Through Bauble, which is back as bright as ever, as well as the beloved Ferris Wheel, Teacup and Venetian Carousel rides.

Be sure to also keep your eyes out for the magical installation of the Giant Fairies  throughout the evening. And if you’re heading up for the New Year period, don’t miss the famous fireworks display to be held on New Year’s Eve.

Kim Jacobs, Marketing Manager of Hunter Valley Gardens says, “After a tough year for many Australians, we are so happy to provide a wonderful escape for families and their loved ones. Our rides, attractions and lights are back with some amendments and carefully thought out COVID-safe measures in place to ensure everyone can attend safely and finish off the year with cherished memories.”

As per Government COVID guidelines, Hunter Valley Gardens will strictly adhere to capacity restrictions. This year, guests will be required to pre-purchase tickets and commit to specific dates at the Christmas Lights Spectacular, and sign in via QR code upon entry. Please note that additional guests without a pre-purchased ticket will not be allowed entry.

Gates will open at 6:30pm and will close at 10:30pm.
