Crown Towers Melbourne has cemented itself as a leader in luxury tourism after becoming the first hotel in Australia to receive the Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED® verification with Forbes Travel Guide.Announced by Forbes Travel Guide on 2 December 2020 the global authority of five-star service and Sharecare, a digital health company that helps people manage their health in a centralised place, this award means Crown Towers joins one of twenty hotels globally to comply with more than 360 expert validated standards.

Developed in response to COVID-19, this new verification is designed to enable hotels to amplify
existing safety protocols and comply with expert-validated best practices internationally. Going beyond basic facility standards, it requires hotels to verify their health protocols on an ongoing basis by confirming compliance with the more than 360 expert-validated standards.

Furthermore, travel buyers, corporate travel programs, and individual travelers can now rely on this
common denominator identifier across the industry to make it easier to decipher health protocols
provided by properties and hotel companies with one uniform standard.

As part of its ongoing response to COVID-19 Crown Towers instigated a series of processes and
protocols that were worked through in response to Victorian government health guidelines.
These measures include:

 Entry screening, random temperature checks and physical distancing measures across all
public areas of the hotel.

 Additional COVID-19 screening questions included on the registration card for all guests to
answer upon check-in

 Compulsory use of hand sanitiser by guests when approaching hotel reception counters

spotlight on the importance of hygiene and safety procedures. “The health and safety of our employees and our guests has always been a paramount concern for us – and COVID-19 has shone a spotlight on that. We spent a lot of time reviewing and refining our processes to ensure we are providing our guests with the safest experience possible. We are honoured to be awarded this verification and hope that uniform standards like this provide travellers with an additional sense of security when they choose to stay at Crown Towers.”

This latest award comes in addition to Crown Towers Melbourne being awarded the Forbes 5 Star
Rating for luxury accommodation for the fourth consecutive year in 2020. Considered the international standard of luxury tourism verification, the award is only given to a handful of hotels each year.
