January 16, 2021 Headline News, Travel Packages No Comments

With travellers eager to start exploring Australia once more, Travelmarvel is pleased to announce the release of its 2012/22 domestic tours with a dedicated Australia brochure.

Featured within Travelmarvel’s new Australia 2021/22 brochure are premium coach and rail journeys across Tasmania, Western Australia, Central Australia, Queensland and Victoria.

Tasmania is calling, and Travelmarvel is offering savings of up to $600 per couple on its most popular trip, the 10-day Grand Tasman, when booked before May 31.

Starting from $3395 per person, twin-share, loop around the island state from Launceston, visit Bridestowe Lavender Estate and the landscapes of Freycinet National Park. Cruise the Gordon River and stay at the renowned Cradle Mountain Hotel.

Golden Horizon: package from Cairns to Sydney.

Australians can spend the 2021 festive season sailing along the Great Barrier Reef and through the Whitsunday Islands aboard the world’s largest and newest sailing ship, Golden Horizon, as part of a new 16-night stay-and-sail package offered by Cruise Traveller.

The package from Cairns to Sydney will allow guests to laze and snorkel off beaches in the Whitsundays Islands on Christmas Day, watch the New Year’s Eve fireworks from the tall ship off the Gold Coast and relax at sea on the first day of 2022.

The 16-night package is available until March 31 from $9530 per person, twin-share, including a night in Cairns, beer and wine with lunch and dinner aboard the ship, onboard gratuities and use of the ship’s extensive water sports equipment including water skis, pico sailboats, kayaks, windsurfers, stand up paddle boards, snorkelling gear and a floating island and trampoline for fun in the water off the ship’s marina platform.

PS Emmylou: powered by a restored 1906 steam engine.

All two to six-night river cruises from Echuca aboard the deluxe paddlesteamer, PS Emmylou, will include complimentary wine and beer with dinner from April.

Murray River Paddlesteamers has also announced savings of up to $530 per couple on ‘Winter Sun’ sailings this year if booked by January 31.

From April 1, fares for all two to six-night cruises will include selected wine and beer with dinner, allowing guests to toast their relaxing journey along the iconic Murray River.

Carrying 16 guests, powered by a restored 1906 steam engine and totally refurbished with deluxe cabins and ensuites, the boutique Emmylou paddlesteamer starred in the hit 1983 TV mini-series, All the Rivers Run, starring Sigrid Thornton, and is still one of the most recognisable and iconic paddlesteamers in Australia.

PS Emmylou offers two-to-six-night journeys along the meandering Murray River round-trip from Echuca year-round, with visits to wineries, historic farm stations, indigenous sites and the World-Heritage-listed river red gum wetlands at Barmah.

Brisbane: lots of staycation ideas.

After what has been a very challenging year, it’s more important than ever to take the time to relax, recharge and reset.

Start the new year with a short stay in easy reach of your home — a staycation if you will. Here are some Brisbane staycation ideas to get the revitalisation flowing:

Queensland’s capital of cool has plenty of city temptations — including a day-trip getaway to the Great Barrier Reef, packages to enhance your skills and the freedom to escape with the whole family, no matter how furry.

Treat yourself and your loved one by combining city luxury with an island paradise.

The ‘All Reefed Up’ package has seen the W Hotel in Brisbane city and Lady Elliot Island team up to offer a two-night stay at the funky W Hotel in Brisbane packaged with a day trip via a scenic flight to stunning Lady Elliot Island (offer valid until April).

Wine and dine in style when you stay at Ovolo the Valley and walk away with a new skill to share with your next dinner guests.

The hotel has packaged up a Wine Blending Workshop at The City Winery as part of their staycation offer which also includes an in-room massage, picnic hamper, dinner for two and cocktail masterclass.

The Emporium Hotel South Bank is one of the pinnacles of staycation aspiration in Brisbane.

Whether you choose the romance package, a girl’s shopping weekend or the ultraluxe helicopter experience, the special offers and packages have your staycation covered.

For the ultimate luxe retreat, however, check into the new Parklands Suite, offering 786 square metres of pure indulgence, sweeping views of Brisbane city, and private balcony complete with a 15 metre infinity pool.

Wine and art: increasingly matched.

While food and wine have long been hailed as the perfect pair, art and wine are becoming an equally sought-after combination, with wine lovers seeking to experience a full-bodied sensory experience that includes tasting the finest drops while bearing witness to thought-provoking works of art.

It’s not surprising that a deep appreciation of wine and art often go hand-in-hand.

Both art and wine require a discerning mind and an intuitive soul, their complexities only discovered by someone with the curiosity and willingness to carefully consider their intricate layers.

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour: intregrating health and wellness.

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour invites guests to a revitalizing offering this January that further integrates health and wellness into all aspects of the experience.

Developed in partnership with Australia’s Healthy Chef and founder of The Healthy Chef brand and company, Teresa Cutter, this wellness offering includes an exclusive room package as well as a series of deliciously nourishing drinks incorporating natural ingredients such as 100 per cent pure marine collagen to support immunity, glowing skin and total wellbeing.

This collaboration with The Healthy Chef is a great complement to the hotel’s existing wellness offering, which includes De-Light menus with enhanced vegetarian and gluten-free options, sleep rituals featuring pillow menus, aromatherapy and the highly acclaimed Sofitel MyBed, a state-of-the-art Technogym gym, and yoga mats and light weights provided in all the suites or available upon request.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises: its largest suite upgrade.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has launched ‘Upgrade Your Horizon’ — its largest suite upgrade in its history — available on all ships, voyages and destinations.

Guests can enjoy a Two-Category Suite Upgrade, up to a Penthouse Suite, on all published cruises when booked before March 1.

Guests from Australia and New Zealand sailing in Deluxe Window through to Penthouse Suites can also enjoy the benefits of 50 per cent reduced deposits, except on Grand Voyages and World Cruises.

NOTE: Potential travellers should check the status of individual events and establishments with regard to the coronavirus outbreak.
