BIG4 Camping and CaravanningIn an exciting move to solidify its position as Australia’s leading holiday park brand, BIG4 Holiday Parks has embarked on an ambitious expansion strategy. This strategic plan, supported by targeted marketing initiatives, enhanced digital support, and upgrades to its website and online booking system, aims to establish BIG4 as the go-to destination for camping, caravanning, and cabin holidays.

The first six months of implementation have yielded impressive results, with a notable 20 per cent increase in BIG4 Holiday Parks and a remarkable 40 per cent rise in Partner Parks represented on BIG4.com.au. These figures underscore the strength of the BIG4 Holiday Parks brand and its continuous growth in popularity among holidaymakers.

According to Sean Jenner, the CEO of BIG4 Holiday Parks, this significant growth reflects their commitment to digital transformation and expansion. He expressed pride in the brand’s history and heritage while emphasizing the exciting possibilities for the nationwide branded Parks and Web Partner Parks network.

As more parks join as Fully Cooperative Member (FCOM) Parks, the number of Web Partner Parks joining the network is also rising. This development is seen as a positive outcome for BIG4, as it increases revenue streams and enhances their existing website’s functionality and user experience. By tapping into BIG4’s online booking system, parks can benefit from higher visibility on search engines and increased web traffic, potentially transforming an average season into a highly profitable one.

Sean Jenner added, “This expansion is a win-win for consumers as well. With more holiday parks available in diverse locations across the country, travelers have an even wider range of options to choose from when planning their vacations.”

The impact of BIG4’s expansion is substantial, with their website facilitating over 631,000 “holiday nights” each year. Moreover, they host over three million guests annually, equivalent to filling the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) 30 times over.

Recognizing the importance of strong leadership during this growth phase, BIG4 Holiday Parks appointed Lou Day General Manager – of Park Success for its National Support Office (NSO). Lou brings a wealth of experience in sales and customer experience from her previous roles at Peregrine Adventures and Exodus Travels, making her a valuable asset to the team.

Sean Jenner outlined the company’s plans for the 2023 financial year, including significant investments in brand and performance marketing activities. These initiatives will be funded primarily by fees paid by incoming Web Partner Parks, benefiting the entire BIG4 network. The expanded footprint of BIG4.com.au will also provide more excellent value to Perks program members without any additional cost.
