As BOE connect LIVE, the compact spring edition of BOE INTERNATIONAL, kicked off focusing on event organisation and equipment, exhibition stand construction and the MICE and business travel segments, suppliers, visitors and those in the industry were equally pleased to be able to engage face-to-face once again on all the latest products and developments in the industry. Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Messe Dortmund, was delighted at the outcome, saying, “Finally cultivating industry contacts face-to-face again, exchanging information and getting a good overview of the market – event industry exhibitors and visitors visibly had a great time at BOE connect LIVE. Not least, the extensive stage programme and the relaxed trade show atmosphere were very well received. This shows that trade shows are delivering once again and continue to be an important tool in their respective markets. All the more reason to look forward to the next BOE INTERNATIONAL on 11 and 12 January 2023, which will once again showcase the entire breadth of the event industry on the usual scale.”
Good mood among exhibitors and partners
The response to BOE connect LIVE was impressive, with many suppliers praising the excellent levels of visitor contact and the industry discussions which had been greatly missed: “After such a long pause in live events, we’d been expecting a small ‘family reunion’ for the industry, but what we got was an exciting restart for the event industry with lots of familiar faces – and many new ones too – plus lively discussions and great pleasure in seeing each other again. We will definitely be back at next year’s BOE INTERNATIONAL,” said Dorothee Schulte, Head of Sales & Marketing at IST University of Management (Department of Communication & Business). “For us, BOE is the show where we can engage with our existing customers and connect with new ones. This year’s format was a great start and a nice reunion with positive conversations. The courage and will to re-emerge finally from this long break was really noticeable everywhere,” added Lars Wessel, Senior Executive for the Northern Rhineland & Ruhr conurbation at Broich Premium Catering GmbH.
High-quality programme was inspiring and varied
Three stages, a PopUp Area and interesting guests such as Dr Johannes Velling from the North-Rhine-Westphalian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalisation & Energy in conversation with the Federal Conference of the Event Industry enriched the kick-off show with a wealth of insights, suggestions and information on up-to-the-minute industry topics.
