Discover the “Bamboo” sculptures of artist Li Jingxiong in partnership with HdM Gallery at NUO Hotel Beijing until 31 December 2021. As well as showcasing three sculptures, O’Bar is launching three finely crafted bamboo-flavoured concoctions, from the mocktail “Green Bamboo” to the cocktail “White Bamboo” and Martini.

For a refreshing treat, try the tasty alcohol-free mocktail “Green Bamboo” made with bamboo leaf tea, honey and lemon juice. These concoction drinks with art inspired touches are sure to delight all art enthusiasts.
The “Bamboo” series by artist Li Jingxiong uses stainless steel pipes as its primary material, and the bamboo shape is made by hand-grinding and polishing. Aesthetically, the “Bamboo” series is inspired by sources such as Chu calligraphy and bird seals in the bamboo strokes calligraphy of the pre-Qin period at the beginning of Chinese civilisation. The artist transforms the ancient artistic language into a very futuristic sculpture, forming an expression of inclusiveness: the new and the old, the tradition and the future, through a romantic, elegant and powerful iconography.
