As the cruise industry restarts, we wanted to be in touch on behalf of Azamara – the boutique cruise line dedicated to Destination Immersion® experiences – to share with you that bookings have opened today for the new winter 2021/22 itineraries.

Azamara will return to the Caribbean with six voyages ranging from seven to 16-nights, and for travellers looking to for a European getaway, Azamara will offer six back-to-back Canary Islands sailings, including four Country-Intensive Voyages® and two holiday voyages, providing guests with a unique way to celebrate the festive season.

“While we are still navigating the changing environment, we are happy to be able to connect our guests with the rich culture and welcoming people of the islands in these two regions”

says Azamara President, Carol Cabezas.

Highlights of the Caribbean sailings include:

Azamara’s Caribbean itineraries allow travellers to immerse themselves in islands close to home with an array of activities to choose from. Adventurous travellers can get up close and personal to interact with stingrays in the crystal-clear waters of Georgetown, Gran Cayman. Guests interested in expanding their culinary skills can participate in an interactive cooking experience at Playa Mia Grand Beach Park in Cozumel, Mexico, where a prestigious local chef will lead a workshop on how to prepare an exquisite, three-course Mexican meal. After indulging in the day’s preparations, guests can sit back and relax on the soft sands of Playa Mia.

On board in St. Maarten, Azamara will host a complimentary Destination Celebration event featuring St. Maarten’s steelpan orchestra, performed by children and directed by St. Maarten’s local calypso legend Isidore York. After enjoying an authentic display of Caribbean culture, guests will be transported through time by the Soul sisters along with St. Maarten’s “Mosaic Band,” who will perform classics from Ike and Tina Turner, Etta James, James Brown and more.

Highlights of the Canary Islands include:

With a maiden port in El Hierro, a picturesque volcanic isle and designated UNESCO biosphere reserve, Azamara’s voyages in the Canary Islands offer guests the unique opportunity to authentically participate in the local life and culture. In Tenerife, Azamara guests are invited to experience genuine Canarian hospitality with a home-hosted lunch at “Mama’s.” Housewives of Tenerife will open their homes to share their home-cooked meals, giving guests a true taste of the Canary Islands. Guests will then be taken to viewpoint Mirador La Baranda, where they can enjoy breathtaking views of Tenerife’s spectacular coastline and the Orotava Valley. In La Gomera, hike through a tropical mountain forest in the National Park of Garajonay, where moss-grown laurel and heather trees create an enchanting atmosphere. Guests looking to end the year with a truly one-of-a-kind celebration can spend their very last moments of 2021 in Tenerife with live music, dancing, and fireworks before setting sail on New Year’s Day.

Onboard the ship, guests can enjoy Azamara’s Destination Celebration PAGAGNINI, an innovative, non-text musical show that brings to life some of the most treasured musical pieces in the world through a comedic lens. Inspired by the complex compositions and rash personality of legendary Italian violinist Niccolò Paganini, PAGAGNINI is spontaneous, interactive, and sure to entertain.

The launch of the winter 2021/2022 sailings are a result of Azamara’s redeployment due to the ongoing complexities of cruise operations in certain regions.
