Trainees from the National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA) were starstruck this week as they got to meet Australian country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley.
A proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man, Troy Cassar-Dalay was in Uluru performing at a private event held on 20 October organised by Imagine Holidays and he stayed at Desert Gardens Hotel at Ayers Rock Resort.
Troy inspired the trainees with a few words of encouragement for their journeys ahead and shared a few stories of when he was just starting out with his music career. NITA was established by Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia to provide young Indigenous Australians with solid career prospects in Retail, Horticulture, Hospitality and Tourism.
