As AirAsia awaits the reopening of international borders, AirAsia Allstars (staff) across Asia share how much they miss Australia and can’t wait to return, in a Christmas video which launched on Facebook today.

Some of the things that AirAsia staff say they miss the most in the video, are Australian beaches, cities, our “hot” accents and vegemite, to name a few. As AirAsia X’s first long-haul destination, Australia has been an integral part of the airline’s extensive network for over 13 years and is one of the most popular destinations for AirAsia staff and customers across Asia.

In preparation for the return of international travel, AirAsia has put in place numerous innovations over recent times to make flying not only safe and affordable, but also more hygienic and seamless than ever before. Including contactless procedures and biometric facial recognition technology in key ports (including Avalon Airport in Melbourne). Scan2Fly is the airline’s latest technological advancement, which is currently being implemented across the AirAsia network, where guests can scan and upload any required medical documentation during the online self check-in process to determine a passengers’ eligibility to fly in real time, before arriving at the airport.
