Agoda launches its Vaxxed To Go campaign to offer vaccinated travellers the opportunity to get great deals, in an effort to support Australia’s travel industry’s recovery from the global pandemic.

The Vaxxed To Go campaign will see Agoda’s hotel partners incentivising travellers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with special travel deals and benefits, and follows a successful Vaxxed To Go initiative in Malaysia, launched in Augu.

The campaign aims to galvanise others in the travel and hospitality industry to come together and play a part in helping the country return to normality.

With Vaxxed To Go hotel partners can offer discounted rates 10% to fully vaccinated travellers. In return, participating partners will be featured across various Agoda product and marketing touchpoints, including social media, banner promotions, customer emails and in app pop-ups. Consumers will also be able to easily browse through their ideal Vaxxed To Go packages through https://www.agoda.com/c/vaxxedtogo_AU, dedicated landing pages that are optimised for both desktop and mobile.

“After months of lockdown Australians are no doubt looking forward to travelling again as it becomes safe to do so. Australians have a healthy appetite for travel, so by promoting the concept of Vaxxed To Go — exclusive deals for vaccinated travellers — Agoda hopes to encourage more Australians to feel safe and confident to travel again and to get their COVID-19 shots,” says Zsuzsanna Janos, Agoda’s Director of Oceania.

“Joint initiatives like this are just part of the efforts being made to kick-start the recovery of the travel and hospitality sector in Australia. At Agoda we are hoping to inspire other industry players to play their part in helping Australia to safely get travelling again,” said Janos.

As part of the Vaxxed to Go campaign in Australia, Agoda will be supporting children and their families affected by the continued COVID-19 lockdowns across New South Wales and Victoria, partnering with Save the Children and donating up to $13,500 – $15 for each of the first 900 bookings made under the Australia Vaxxed To Go campaign. The funds will go towards Save the Children Educational Activity Packs to support children‘s continued learning and emotional wellbeing.

“We have all been impacted by COVID, and it’s had a particular impact on children’s access to learning.  As part of our on-going CSR activity and support for the communities in which we live and work, we are expanding our partnership with Save the Children, to benefit from the Vaxxed To Go campaign. It builds on our previous Walk for a Cause initiative and $15 can buy an Educational Activity Pack tailored to a child’s age group including items such as educational toys and games, activity sheets, sensory items and reading books. Educational Activity Packs provide a crucial resource for stretched parents who are experiencing increased responsibilities during stay-at-home orders and help to give children a sense of “normal”, since many of the activities mirror what they would being doing at their weekly face-to-face playgroup. The also help to give children a sense belonging which is important for children to feel safe, supported and able to learn,” said Janos.
