AAT Kings is kicking off the announcement of its 2022-2023 season with stunning new look brochures and an industry-first interactive brochure, aimed at helping agents working in varied environments to enter a new era of travel.

AAT Kings’ new season brochure gives agents and customers a fully-immersive, multi-sensory experience, and sets them up for an adventure of a lifetime. The interactive version aims to reduce printing, promoting more sustainable practices within the industry.

The new digital brochure’s interactive elements, including embedded videos, pop up animations and immersive timelines are designed with the user in mind. It also retains the brand’s customisable call to action (CTA) technology, allowing agents to create personalised brochures to suit customers’ needs, including the ability to add wishlist tours and Travel Agent details (including logos) before sending to clients.

“The agents of our industry have also had to navigate the new normal of the travel world over the past year, meaning working from home and less access to customers face-to-face. This means the industry norm of printed brochures has also had to shift“ said AAT Kings CEO, Matt Fuller. “What consumers want now is an interactive, wholly online brochure experience that doesn’t just lay out their trip details but immerses them in the experience they are looking forward to partaking in.”

Experiences of the new 2022-2023 season include:

TASTES OF SOUTHERN AUSTRALIA (ESMA), GREAT OCEAN ROAD & KANGAROO ISLAND (EMKA)

Get wild: The bushfires that ravaged a large part of Australia in 2019/2020 had a devastating toll on Kangaroo Island, completely destroying the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. This privately-owned conservancy – protecting native plants and providing a habitat for native animals – is on the mend, as you’ll discover by visiting the site and learning the role fire plays in this fragile ecosystem. Then meet the faunal residents and discover how they’re adapting to their new environment.

OUTBACK ADVENTURE (NAAD) & OUTBACK EXPLORER (NAA)

Grape expectations: There are few buildings more recognisable in South Australia’s Clare Valley than the Enterprise Brewery, a grand 1878 building so well preserved and with such significant history it has been bestowed protection by the National Trust. Today, it’s home to the Knappstein Enterprise Winery, where you’ll pull up a stool in the cellar door and sip some of the award-winning vintages made here since 1976.

PERFECT TASMANIA (THLH) & TASSIE GETAWAY (TLHH)

Plant power: Every day, volunteers from the Understorey Network Nursery get their hands dirty potting native plants and counting seeds, with the goal of preserving Tasmania’s floral beauty. Join them at their buzzing community hub to discover the jaw-dropping diversity of plants they nurture, from Adiantaceae to Zygophyllaceae. Sleep soundly knowing your time here fosters regrowth in the Coal River Valley and helps maintain vegetative diversity in Hobart.

NEW ZEALAND UNCOVERED (ZAAC) & SOUTHERN SPECTACULAR (ZCQR)

Fiordland fantastic: Native robins, mohua and the endangered Haast tokoeka kiwi all thrive on Pomona and Rona islands now thanks to the work of the Pomona Island Charitable Trust. Cruise Lake Manapouri in Fiordland National Park while learning how passionate volunteers are protecting this fragile pocket, and how these jewels have become the poster child for South Island conservation.

AAT Kings are always looking for exciting and immersive new adventures to include in their itineraries. But they’re also on the hunt for those that protect and conserve the environments and communities they take travellers to.
