A Visual History of Hip-Hop

May 3, 2019 California News No Comments

For the first time, Aussies travelling to L.A. can immerse themselves in a celebration of hip-hop culture as curated by journalist Vikki Tobak. Annenberg Space for Photography is proudly presenting CONTACT HIGH: A Visual History of Hip-Hop.

The photographic exhibition includes over 120 works and unedited contact sheets from more than 60 photographers, who have snagged photos of artists like Notorious B.I.G., Kendrick Lamar and Salt-N-Pepa.

Rare videos, memorabilia and music are included to complement the photographs, showing how a cultural phenomenon impacts politics, culture and social movements around the world.
