Spread the love

One of the most prestigious hotels in the city, Aria Hotel Prague, has guests singing its praises as soon as they set foot in this property, where every detail evokes a musical theme.  From keycards featuring the faces of famous singers to the piano keyboard bar and the grand piano in front of it, the reminders of music are everywhere.  The musical notes designed into the carpeting and the staff woven into the towels bring the theme into the beautiful guestrooms, some of which look out to the hotel’s private garden, others to Trziste, which happens to be one of Prague’s most impressive addresses.  The US embassy, a few doors down, occupies one of the many palatial buildings along the street, which runs parallel to Nerudová, where the equally beautiful buildings lining it usher pedestrians all the way up to the stunning library of the Strahov Monastery at the top of the hill.

Providing its guests with five-star luxury in an unrivalled location, each floor of Aria is themed by different musical styles: contemporary, classical, jazz, and opera.  As is so often the case in historical properties, Aria’s 51 rooms and suites vary in size and configuration, but all deliver a cocoon of comfort and style.  Aria’s long list of VIP guests includes business, government, entertainment, and sports figures, as well as affluent leisure travellers who love the hotel’s comfortable rooms, fine dining, friendly staff, and unique features.  These include not one but two private screening rooms available at no charge, where guests can select a film or a recorded concert performance and watch it on a big screen, either in a living room arrangement or a theatre configuration, for large families or groups of friends who want to share the experience.  A full-time music librarian guides guests in selecting audio and video experiences.  Aria is the only hotel in Prague with a private park, a popular place for weddings in this fairytale city.  The rooftop bar area is another favourite place to spend time surveying the town while sipping drinks or nibbling on snacks.

Aria’s excellent restaurant, Coda, indeed provides a satisfactory ending to a day out in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.  Especially in winter, when both the hotel and the city embrace the Christmas spirit in their decorations and atmosphere, the literal and figurative warmth of Coda is a splendid way to enjoy a meal likely accompanied by fine wine and meticulous service.

Prague’s Václav Havel Airport is relatively close to the city but lacks a rail link to the city centre.  A ride in comfort comparable to Aria’s standard can be provided in a private transfer from Czech Drivers. This reliable, highly professional luxury transport company can take visitors around the city for sightseeing and further afield on day trips to other locations in the country.  Czech Drivers’ drivers are as immaculately presented as their vehicles; their manners, sense of humour, and fascinating backstories make the ride a pleasure.
