Hilton Singapore Orchard, Hilton’s largest hotel in Asia Pacific has appointed Michael Janssen as its general manager, effective 15 September 2025. A seasoned hospitality professional with more than 28 years of international experience, Janssen is set to helm the 1,080-room flagship property with a focus on delivering elevated guest experiences and driving sustainable growth.
Janssen’s global career spanned leadership roles in key markets across Asia, Japan, China, the Middle East, and Europe, where he has been instrumental in driving hotel performance, repositioning iconic properties, and nurturing strong team cultures. His strategic acumen and people-first approach have earned him a reputation as a transformative leader with a strong commercial mindset. Prior to joining Hilton Singapore Orchard, he served as general manager of ANA InterContinental Tokyo, and held senior leadership positions with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in Thailand, China, and Indonesia.
Janssen’s appointment comes at a time when Singapore’s tourism landscape is entering a new phase of dynamic growth. With international visitor arrivals projected to reach up to 18.5 million in 2025 and tourism receipts at an all-time high of S$29.8 billion[1], Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a top global destination.
