For the first time, Chinese cuisine receives a dedicated ranking in Asia. The Chinese Restaurant Awards proudly unveils the Top 30 Honourees of its inaugural Elite 15 Asia Awards — a definitive selection of outstanding restaurants across the continent. More than a celebration of excellence, the list also serves as an authoritative guide for discerning diners. From this longlist, the final ranked Elite 15 Asia will be announced at the 16th Annual Awards Ceremony in Vancouver, Canada on October 29, 2025 — elevating Chinese gastronomy on the world stage.

The list is curated by the newly established Asia Taste Advisors Panel, chaired by acclaimed veteran food critic, columnist, and food show television host Agnes Chee — widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in Chinese cuisine today. This distinguished panel of 15 brings together Michelin-starred chefs, entrepreneurs, financiers, artists, and cultural leaders, united by the belief that Chinese dining is not defined by restaurants alone, but by the signature dishes that embody flavour, memory, and the enduring experiences that stay with diners.
“There are many lists in the world, but this will be the first to independently celebrate Chinese cuisine in Asia – one rooted in cultural confidence,” says Agnes Chee, Chair of the Asia Judging Panel. “Through this, our aim is to honour culinary talent, inspire the next generation, and safeguard traditions while defining excellence on our own terms. It is the beginning of a journey to connect Chinese dining across regions and generations.”
“On the occasion of our 16th Awards, we are honoured to extend our recognition beyond Canada to pay tribute to Asia’s outstanding Chinese restaurants,” adds Lee Man, Vice President of the Chinese Restaurant Awards. “This list, dedicated exclusively to Chinese cuisine, reflects the diversity and depth of gastronomy across Asia. Our mission has never changed: to uncover the finest signature dishes, to spotlight restaurants of all sizes, and to highlight the talent behind them.”
