Marriott International Inc. has been ranked the 3rd Best Place to Work in Asia Pacific for large companies by the Great Place to Work®, the global authority which recognizes strong workplace culture. The award is testament to Marriott International’s commitment to putting people first and fostering a workplace culture where every associate feels truly valued.

Results were based on the combined trust index survey results from Marriott associates in nine markets in Asia Pacific excluding China (APEC) – India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea and Vietnam – as well as those from Greater China.

Marriott’s listing in the top three is a culmination of a series of strong showings in market rankings, with 10 markets in APEC receiving Great Place to Work® certification. Notably, Marriott was named as the #1 Best Workplace in Vietnam™ 2025 (Large category), came in 3rd in Indonesia, while Philippines and Sri Lanka achieved the certification on their first try. Eight other markets, Australia, India, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea continued to be successfully certified.

The achievement is testament to Marriott’s unwavering commitment to creating an inclusive, engaging, and supportive workplace where everyone can belong. “This recognition is a reflection of our deep-rooted belief that when we put people first, everything else falls into place. Our ranking and certifications in this year’s Great Place to Work® surveys are just the start. We’re creating opportunities, building careers, nurturing talent, and empowering the next generation of hospitality leaders across Asia Pacific. I’m humbled that our associates in the region see value in our mission,” said Rajeev Menon, President of Marriott International Asia Pacific excluding China.

Marriott has continued to innovate and invest in being the workplace of choice of associates, developing numerous programs aimed at supporting associates to be their best selves. These efforts include offering associates job enrichment opportunities. The ongoing initiative of iJobs in APEC gives hotel operational associates expanded scope for lateral career development, more exposure to different roles in hospitality, richer learning opportunities. Additionally, Marriott continues to build and leverage a comprehensive well-being program for associates called Take Care, providing resources to support their physical, mental and financial wellness.

Aside from these initiatives, Marriott works closely with industry organizations, educational institutions and local governments to provide opportunities to hospitality job seekers, regardless of backgrounds. Internally, the company’s own associates further embrace inclusion by forming Associate Resource Groups to support co-workers from similar communities.
