Amid record demand for its Meetings and Events offering, last month Club Med, the pioneer of premium all-inclusive holidays for 75 years, hosted seven key industry leaders from the Meetings and Events industry for an immersive Famil at the recently renovated Club Med Phuket, showcasing the brand’s new upscale positioning. Club Med.

The first Famil of its kind for Club Med in three years, the trip welcomed a mix of Professional Conference Organisers (PCOs), incentive houses, event specialists, and Travel Agents. Each attendee was carefully selected based on prospective opportunities and limited prior knowledge of the brand, with the event designed to showcase Club Med’s renovated facilities and premium positioning.

Every moment of the Famil was curated to reflect how effortless, enriching, and engaging a group event with Club Med can be, showcasing the breadth of Club Med Phuket’s event capabilities while giving guests the opportunity to experience the resort like their clients would – from morning wellness sessions and gourmet dining to immersive cultural excursions and hands-on brand engagement.

The Famil also featured a dedicated conference session, property inspection, and an interactive workshop on Club Med’s global Meetings & Events offering. Clients also participated in unique local experiences, including a private cocktail masterclass at a local rum distillery and an authentic Thai dining experience at Blue Elephant.

Julie Voultepsis, Head of Meetings and Events for Club Med Pacific added: “Club Med Pacific’s’ Meetings & Events sector has experienced record demand, with business volume up 30% since 2019. As the brand continues to evolve into a more premium offering for travellers, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to showcase that transition by deliberately inviting attendees who hadn’t yet experienced Club Med’s evolution.

“The purpose of the Famil was to deliver a fully immersive experience that goes far beyond a typical site inspection – designed to showcase Club Med’s all-inclusive difference, highlight our unique event potential including our three newly renovated meeting rooms at Club Med Phuket, demonstrate how business and leisure seamlessly integrate and highlight what truly sets us apart in the market. With our upscale transition completed in April 2024 and a strong pipeline of new properties featuring state-of-the-art event spaces, this was the idealClub Med moment to highlight our enhanced capabilities.

“The Famil was a huge success creating a shift in perception amongst attendees. Guests left informed, but also inspired, energised and aligned with our vision for events done differently. They saw first-hand how Club Med combines premium venues with cultural immersion, seamless logistics and unforgettable energy – a rare mix in the MICE world!”

Earlier this month, Club Med announced the launch of a brand-new resort, Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari. Blending both beachside bliss with safari adventure, the new resort opening in July 2026, is set to redefine the Meetings and Events industry, boasting a state-of-the-art convention centre and business facilities suitable for up to 500 PAX.

The Famil also came just ahead of Club Med’s nomination at the 2025 NTIA Awards in the category of Most Popular Accommodation Group – a recognition that reflects the brand’s continued commitment to delivering exceptional, all-inclusive experiences across the globe. This nomination follows Club Med’s win in the same category in 2024, reinforcing the trust and enthusiasm the travel industry places in the brand.
