Fancy a free cycling trip with Intrepid Travel? The adventure travel company has just launched its 2025 Buffalo Ride fundraising challenge and this year, anyone who joins the challenge will go in the draw to win an Intrepid Cycling Tour
worth AUD $3,500.
The annual event invites cyclists of all levels to ride and raise money throughout May to support World Bicycle Relief, a NGO partner of The Intrepid Foundation in Kenya. And all it takes to enter is signing up and fundraising for the cause.
Intrepid is aiming to raise AUD $100,000 for the global non-profit, which provides purpose-built Buffalo Bicycles to individuals in rural communities around the world – helping them access education, healthcare and employment.
Biheng Zhang, General Manager of The Intrepid Foundation said: “A simple bicycle can help to break down the barrier of distance, and by raising just $250 AUD you can provide an individual with the opportunity to access school, work or critical health care.
“Every day, Intrepid travellers explore some of the most incredible destinations around the globe on our cycling trips. Now is our chance to give back to the communities we visit, by opening doors for individuals in need, particularly women and girls, through life-changing bicycles.”
World Bicycle Relief has been a partner of The Intrepid Foundation for three years. In 2024, the challenge raised over AUD $66,000 through 130 riders globally.
To help bring the cause to life, Intrepid is running a one-off Kenya Cycle Fundraiser Trip from 29 May–5 June 2025. This eight-day cycling adventure will take riders through Kenya’s diverse landscapes, with village visits along the way to witness the impact of fundraising efforts firsthand.

Every kilometer cycled and every dollar raised brings us closer to a world where distance no longer stands in the way of opportunity. We’re grateful to partner with Intrepid and The Intrepid Foundation to help more students, health workers and entrepreneurs in rural communities thrive with the freedom and mobility a bicycle provides.”
Intrepid team members from 11 cities globally are also participating in the challenge together.
