Qatar Airways - logoQatar Airways has made a donation of AUD$80,000 to The Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal, raising critical funds for the hospital in Melbourne.

As part of this year’s initiative, and marking its fifth consecutive year of support, Qatar Airways generously contributed two return flights in its award-winning Qsuite Business Class, helping to drive further donations for the cause.

The winners will be able to fly to a European destination of their choice, enjoying all that Qsuite has to offer, including private suites with sliding doors, fully lie-flat beds with a mattress and pillow, and on-demand à la carte dining.

The Good Friday Appeal brings together all sectors of the community each year to support The Royal Children’s Hospital in providing essential medical care for children, culminating in a telethon every Good Friday. During the annual Kids Day Out, held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, the Qatar Airways team members assisted hospital staff and took calls from donors during the telethon.

This initiative reflects Qatar Airways’ broader commitment to the Australian market, delivering not only a premium travel experience for travellers but also supporting local and vital causes. The airline’s contributions help to ensure that The Royal Children’s Hospital continues to provide world-class care for children in need.

Since its inception in 1931, the Good Friday Appeal has played a crucial role in ensuring optimal care for young patients and their families.

The contributions have been allocated towards various initiatives, including medical research, advanced equipment and technology, programs focused on patient and family-centred care, and the promotion of staff excellence through educational programs, scholarships, and fellowships.
