With Qantas Group recently announcing plans to launch new Jetstar flights from Brisbane to Cebu and Perth to Manila starting in November, Aussies in all major cities will soon be able to enjoy cheap airfares to the Filipino archipelago for the first time. From the 27th of November 2025, 3x weekly Jetstar flights will operate from Perth to Manila and 3x weekly flights will operate between Brisbane and Cebu. Low-cost flights to the Philippines are currently only available from Melbourne and Sydney to Manila with Cebu Pacific.

The announcement also marks the first direct connection between Australia and Cebu. The island province of Cebu is home to the Philippines’ oldest city of Cebu City and is renowned for its stunning beaches, coastal activities, and vibrant urban lifestyle.

Highlights of Cebu

Known as the ‘Queen City of the South’, Cebu and the surrounding Visayan Islands are an exciting fusion of rural island life, historical sites, and bustling metropolis’.
