Just three months after opening its doors to the public, The Lodge Wadjemup (Rottnest Island, Western Australia) has been included in TIME’s prestigious 2025 World’s Greatest List.
The annual World’s Greatest List is a curated collection of the world’s most extraordinary places to visit and stay for the year ahead, with The Lodge Wadjemup being the only Australian hotel to feature.
The Lodge Wadjemup is owned by a group of WA families, spearheaded by Peter Fogarty and his family, who have been instrumental in bringing the vision to life. The development was undertaken by a team of local Western Australian talent, with the shared vision of creating a lasting, positive and compelling part of Wadjemup and its status as a cultural tourism hub.
Speaking on behalf of the The Lodge Wadjemup Owners, Mr Fogarty said it was an honour to be included in TIME’s 2025 World’s Greatest List.

“We’ve always had a lofty vision for this project, and since we opened our doors to the public in December 2024, the response from guests has been overwhelmingly positive for both our accommodation and hospitality offering.
