MarriottMarriott Bonvoy, Marriott International’s extraordinary portfolio of over 30 brands and award-winning travel program, is gearing up for a high occupancy week as Australia’s largest motorsport event comes to Melbourne.

Across Marriott Bonvoy’s ten Melbourne hotels, occupancy is up 6% year on year. The Saturday of the race weekend is already a city-wide sell-out, with the same expected for Friday night. The hotelier has also seen double digit ADR growth year on year.

“The majority of growth is driven through international travel, with the largest proportion of our guests coming from the USA. International room nights increased 25% year on year to almost two thirds of stays, highlighting the growing international appeal of the sporting event to our traveller base”, said Jason Nuell, Area Vice President – Australia, New Zealand and Pacific at Marriott International.

Marriott’s room stock in Melbourne currently sits at over 2200 keys, encompassing ten hotels including The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne, W Melbourne, The Westin Melbourne, Melbourne Marriott Hotel and Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands, Le Meridien Melbourne, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Flagstaff Gardens,  AC Hotel Melbourne Southbank and Element Hotel Richmond.
