For over 50 years, the Indian Pacific has journeyed east to west and back again, traversing the world’s longest stretch of straight railway track. This week celebrated the trains first extended eastbound itinerary to a five-day journey. This meant more time on board for guests, new immersive experiences, and greater opportunities to explore Australia by train.
David Donald, Executive General Manager of Rail at Journey Beyond is delighted the new 5-day, 4-night journey onboard the Indian Pacific is now up and running with the first guests arriving from Perth by lunchtime today. “With all-inclusive meals, fine wines, and beverages, passengers immersed themselves in unique Off Train Experiences as the train wound its way across Australia from coast to coast.”
Each leg of the new extended itinerary is marked with tailored Off Train Experiences and authentic encounters for your clients all included in the price of their fare. These experiences tell the unique story of the land, providing a sense of place, people, and culture.
