Debbie and Terry Luckman have led a life of travel and adventure and now the Port Macquarie ‘power couple’ are eager to share their insights with locals looking to plan their own escapades.

With many Aussies gearing up to head away during the summer break, the Luckman’s are looking forward to providing personalised advice about their own camping, caravanning, and off-road adventures to inform others looking to do the same thing.

The Battery World Franchise Partners have a map of all their travels in store and even sell the book they wrote about their trip around remote Australia titled Do It Before You’re Dead.

They’ve travelled to some of the most remote areas in Australia, including the Gunbarrel Highway and the Anne Beadell Highway, part of the country’s toughest and most remote roads.

These journeys require serious skills to navigate the narrow, twisty, and sandy unsealed roads and the Luckman’s took on the challenge.

Debbie, who had previously worked in the superannuation industry, and Terry, a trained auto electrician, were looking for an opportunity to join forces and couldn’t resist the coastal NSW destination of Port Macquarie.

They have led the team at Battery World Port Macquarie for almost a decade now and relish the chance to work and travel together.

Although the busiest time of the retail year is upon them, the dynamic duo are planning their next adventure and urge locals to do the same.

“We take pride in being able to help out our customers with advice on what they need to go off-road camping,” Debbie said.

“Our firsthand experience and my husband’s background as an auto electrician means that we can offer practical advice to our customers.

“We have seen some of the most remote locations in Australia and know the ins and outs of off-road camping and caravanning. There’s nothing better than setting our customers up for the trip of a lifetime.”

Battery World General Manager Johnny Kennedy said it was exciting to see Debbie and Terry bringing their passion and experience to the Port Macquarie franchise.

“Debbie, Terry, and their team at Port Macquarie are an excellent example of the personalised service that is offered at Battery World,” Mr Kennedy said.

“It is great to see how Battery World Port Macquarie continue to service the community in new ways and foster a sense of adventure in their local community.”
