Semi-private jet service Aero is launching a new route of scheduled flights between the Van Nuys Airport (VNY) in Los Angeles and Thermal’s Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport (TRM) located in the Greater Palm Springs area. Tickets will start at $725 per person, flights will begin on November 1, 2024, with a schedule currently being sold through late-April 2025.
Jetting between Los Angeles and Greater Palm Springs takes just 30 minutes, bypassing inconvenient rush hour traffic and providing access to the resorts and communities in the nine desert cities–Coachella, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs, Palm Desert, Desert Hot Springs, and Cathedral City.
Ben Klein, CEO at Aero, elaborates, “This exciting new route to the desert comes on the heels of our recent announcement of flights between Los Angeles and the Napa Valley. Palm Springs and Napa are two key getaway destinations for travelers in Los Angeles and these new Aero flights to airports that are not served by commercial airlines offer a fantastic new option for   travelers that are tired of wasting their precious weekend time sitting in traffic.”
Aero’s flight will be operating out of the modern, state-of-the-art Desert Jet Center private terminal, one of North America’s top-rated FBOs. It features an observation deck with panoramic desert mountain views, a spacious conference room, pet-friendly amenities, and a stocked hospitality bar.

  • Depart from Los Angeles (VNY) at 5:15pm
  • Arrive to Greater Palm Springs (TRM) at 6:10pm
  • Depart from Greater Palm Springs (TRM) at 7:00pm
  • Arrive to Los Angeles (VNY) at 7:55pm

Sundays (Flights may shift to accommodate long weekends during holiday periods.)

  • Depart from Los Angeles (VNY) at 4:30pm
  • Arrive to Greater Palm Springs (TRM) at 5:25pm
  • Depart from Greater Palm Springs (TRM) at 6:15pm
