The Langham, Gold Coast has announced three key appointments at the luxurious hotel to its leadership team, marking a significant step forward in the hotel’s ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation.
Arpad Romandy has been appointed as General Manager, bringing with him over 30 years of extensive hospitality experience. His impressive career includes roles with IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) across England, Spain, and the United States, as well as Shangri-La Sydney and most recently, as General Manager of InterContinental Hayman Island Resort. In his new role, Arpad will oversee all facets of hotel operations, including Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources. He will report to Jeffrey van Vorsselen, Regional Vice President, Operations.

The Langham, Gold Coast also extends a warm welcome to esteemed hospitality veteran, Mark Marshall, who joins the hotel as Executive Chef. Mark joins from his most recent role as Hospitality Operations Manager for Mulpha Hospitality Group overseeing the group’s luxury hotels, wineries and standalone restaurants. Mark joins from his most recent role as Hospitality Operations Manager for Mulpha Hospitality Group With over 20 years of culinary expertise, including Michelin-starred establishments like The Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsay in London. Mark will spearhead the review and
re-launch of the hotel’s dining offerings over the six restaurants and bars.

Rounding out the key appointments is Megan Reid, an experienced leader in the People and Culture sector, who has been appointed the role of Director of Human Resources for The Langham, Gold Coast. Megan brings a wealth of experience to the role, with past roles at Ardent Leisure and Mulpha Hotels, leading their hotel portfolio including, InterContinental Hayman Island Resort, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort and InterContinental Sydney. Megan will report to Arpad Romandy, General Manager of The Langham, Gold Coast and will continue to drive excellence in creating a great environment for colleagues and guests.
