New Caledonia Tourism is thrilled to announce the return of its destination roadshow after a few years’ hiatus across various cities in Australia and New Zealand. Set to visit Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland this June, the ‘New Caledonia Showcase’ Roadshow will feature a series of exclusive New Caledonian Soirées offering invaluable networking opportunities with industry representatives from the destination.
Providing an immersive experience with cultural activities, French delights and a tropical atmosphere, attendees will gain firsthand insights into Australia’s closest neighbour and the experiences that await travellers in this island paradise!
Rebecca Marchal, Account Director for New Caledonia Tourism Australia, expressed her excitement about the relaunch of the ‘New Caledonia Showcase’ Roadshow. “We’ve recently seen a surge in interest in the destination from Australian travellers, so the New Caledonia Showcase couldn’t have come at a better time to help inform advisors of what this French Pacific Paradise has to offer. By facilitating new industry connections and strengthening existing relationships, our aim with the roadshow is to equip travel advisors with the necessary information and tools to help them create unforgettable journeys for their clients.”

The roadshow announcement coincides with recent enthusiasm from the Australian market, with over 30,719 Aussies venturing to the destination in 2023, an impressive 18.57% increase from pre-pandemic figures. Offering something for every type of traveller, New Caledonia’s wide appeal among Australians further solidifies its position as one of Australia’s new favourite tropical holiday spots, offering everything from pristine beaches to vibrant cultural encounters.
The roadshow also presents an opportune moment to reintroduce the destination to the Melbourne market after New Caledonia’s national carrier, Aircalin, restarted its direct Melbourne to Noumea route in December 2023. With the existing direct flights from Sydney and Brisbane, the majority of Australians on the East Coast have this little slice of paradise at their doorstep.
