The 20-night, northern spring package in May, 2025, will see lovers of tradition, luxury and nautical romance sail across the Med aboard the renowned clipper ship, Star Flyer, with Cruise Traveller offering earlybird savings of A$2780 per person, twin-share, for bookings made by June 30, 2024.

Cruise Traveller’s new ‘Sailing Ships and Racing Cars’ cruise and stay package is a destination-rich adventure that begins on May 23, 2025, with a night’s stay in a hotel in Nice in France. Next day, guests board the 170-guest Star Flyer for an 18-night voyage from Cannes on the French Riviera to Venice, with 16 destinations in between spread across France, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Montenegro.

The journey – as much of it by sail as possible – comprises two back-to-back cruises taking in a glittering thread of ports including Monaco on May 25, 2025, when the winding, boutique-lined streets of Monte Carlo play host to the renowned Monaco Grand Prix. Tickets to the spectacular race are an optional extra.

Other ports include the Tuscan town of Portoferraio on the Italian island of Elba, the sun-kissed island of Corsica, Rome, the chic Amalfi Coast, historic Sicily, the beaches of Corfu and the Adriatic gems of Hvar, Dubrovnik and Kotor.

Reflecting the heritage of the golden era of sailing ships, the graceful, four-masted Star Flyer melds the luxuries of today with the traditions of the past, with its giant, billowing sails, gleaming mahogany, polished brasswork, sweeping teak decks, two pools, restaurant, chill-time bars, Edwardian library, gourmet cuisine, friendly crew and an onboard ambience that is relaxed, casually elegant and free of crowds or queues.

The cruise ends in Venice where guests will spend a night, ending the holiday.

Including two nights’ hotel accommodation, the 20-night ‘Sailing Ships and Racing Cars’ package is available from A$9595 per person, twin-share, in an Inside Cabin – a saving of A$2780.  In an Ocean-View cabin, fares are from available from A$10,355 per person, twin-share – a saving of A$3070.  Book by June 30, 2024.
