Cosy up and completely unwind in one of 15 brand new eco-friendly canvas tents at the sprawling Parklands Resort Mudgee, just 3.5 hours drive from Sydney.
Known as Mudgee Retreats, these incredibly chic and design-led eco tents have been designed with romance in mind, boasting luxurious four-poster king size beds, private ensuites, a curated selection of Mudgee region gourmet treats, continental breakfast delivered to the door and a private outdoor deck for watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand.
Offering couples and solo travellers the perfect base to explore the region’s culinary delights, each of the beautifully-appointed retreats feature everything needed for a deluxe glamping experience.
As part of the Parklands Resort Mudgee complex, the Retreats are surrounded by 30 acres of picturesque countryside, perfect for leisurely strolls or gourmet picnics while Retreat guests can also indulge in some R&R with access to a private tennis court, indoor pool, fitness centre and heated spa.
And for those who prefer to travel with their furry friend, Mudgee Retreats is pet friendly^, welcoming all four-legged friends with open arms.
With a commitment to sustainability, each of the Retreats have been built using the Eco Anchor foundation system and Eco Decking flooring made from recycled rice husk composite material that provides thermal insulation, resulting in a minimal environmental footprint. The retreats are energy efficient and can be heated or cooled very efficiently due to the canvas construction holding the ambient air temperature so well which ultimately minimises power consumption.
Shaun Ormbsy, Head of Commercial at Elanor Hotels, said “After seeing an increase in demand for sustainable and immersive travel experiences, we developed Mudgee Retreats at Parklands Resort Mudgee as an alternative option for travellers looking for an authentic glamping experience in the heart of Mudgee.
“Our Retreats are ideally located a stone’s throw away from the historic town centre and close to some of the region’s best wineries and restaurants, so guests can immerse themselves in the beauty of Mudgee and then relax at the end of the day in the ultimate in comfort and sustainability.”
“Having a minimal thermal eco footprint on this beautiful piece of land was very important to us, and the retreats are designed to be energy efficient and can be heated or cooled very sustainably due to the smart canvas construction holding the ambient air, minimising power consumption. We’re thrilled to finally be opening these retreats and look forward to seeing guests enjoy the experience,” Shaun said.
Commenting on the new Mudgee Retreats, Tim Booth, CEO, Mudgee Region Tourism said “This will be an incredible addition to the accommodation offering in the Mudgee Region allowing for both leisure travellers to enjoy a boutique offering close to town, as well as an incredible opportunity for corporate travel with a unique experience for conferencing accommodation.”
