Under the stewardship of the Minister of Transportation and Communications, Wang Kwo-tsai, Taiwan has launched the “Taiwan the Lucky Land” lucky draw competition, a captivating campaign designed to attract independent foreign travellers. Those planning a visit between three to ninety days are eligible to participate, with the prospect of winning £127 (NT$5000) to enhance their in-country spending. To be part of this exciting venture, travellers must register online within a specific timeframe and, upon arrival, navigate to dedicated airport areas to determine their winning status through a unique QR code. This campaign is an integral part of Taiwan’s ambitious strategy to welcome 6 million international tourists by the year’s end and sets a bold target of 12 million visitors for 2024. The program remains open until June 30, 2025, positioning Taiwan as a hotbed for global tourism.
