Melco Resorts & Entertainment today hosted a special collaboration agreement signing ceremony at Studio City for its ‘Talent Development for a Better Macau’ initiatives in cooperation with the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ). To support the Macau government’s policy principles of “Macau Thrives on Education” and “Building Macau through Talent Training”, Melco will collaborate with DSEDJ to provide parent-child education for Melco colleagues to enhance their understanding and skills in parenting education. The initiative aims to maximize the positive influence of family education for children to grow up in a harmonious and happy family environment.
The Company also committed to strengthening its cooperation with local schools to provide youth with opportunities to improve their skills and gain professional experience, contributing to the diversified development of Macau’s economy. Through engaging in tripartite cooperation between the home, school and enterprise, Melco is dedicated to continuing its dedication to cultivating local talent in Macau.
Witnessed by Ms. Ao Ieong U, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture; Mr. Lawrence Ho, Chairman and CEO of Melco; and Ms. Cen Jiayi, Director of Education and Youth Affairs Department of Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR, Mr. Kong Chi Meng, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, and Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Melco Chairman and CEO, signed agreements on its parenting education employee training collaboration initiatives and school-corporation partnership with Escola Luso-Chinesa Técnico-Profissional.
During the ceremony, Melco also signed agreements on its school-corporation partnership initiatives with the Macao Federation of Trade Unions Vocational and Technical School, Macao Sam Yuk Middle School and Escola Seong Fan da Associacao Comercial de Macau.

Mr. Kong Chi Meng, Director of the Education and Youth Development Bureau, said, “We are pleased to witness the signing of the agreement for the ‘Talent Development for a Better Macau’ program, which will open a new direction of collaboration for the development of vocational and technical education in Macao. Four schools participated in today’s signing ceremony of the ‘School-Enterprise Co-operation’ on vocational and technical education, fully demonstrating the importance of the initiative. The signing shows that the ‘school-enterprise co-operation’ initiative has been extended from public schools to private schools and has been thoroughly implemented in the curriculum of the ‘Back to School’ Education and Senior Secondary Vocational and Technical Education program. Through the co-operation of enterprises in providing real life workplace scenarios, professional instructors’ guidance and the arrangement of student internships in alignment with the “1+4” diversified development strategy, students’ horizons are broadened in the world of work, enhancing their practical and hands-on skills, further developing a mechanism for nurturing talent in Macao.”
