Virgin Voyages logoThe horizon beckons as Richard Branson’s pioneering cruise line, Virgin Voyages, unveils a massive expansion plan. By adding 19 new ports and launching 27 distinctive itineraries, the brand now stretches its sails to regions including the UK, Australia, and mesmerizing corners of the Caribbean.

Virgin Voyages is a beacon for travellers, already garnering acclaim by bagging the No. 1 spot in the mega-ship ocean cruise category in Travel + Leisure’s 2023 World’s Best Awards. What sets them apart? A holistic experience amalgamating Michelin-star menus, adults-only exclusivity, a focus on wellness, and exceptional service. This isn’t just another cruise line; it’s a redefined journey on the seas.

Michelle Bentubo, the Senior Vice President of Service Excellence and Travel Operations, shared the company’s vision, “Our passionate sailors constantly seek new adventures. Responding to their wishes, we’re unveiling immersive experiences, from the charm of Mooloolaba to the allure of Amsterdam. Because traveling isn’t just about the destination, but the journey and the company you keep.”

This expansion includes a total of 63 itineraries covering numerous awe-inspiring locales. Notably, the “Seachange Series” gives travellers more flexibility, letting them extend their holidays seamlessly.

Spotlight on the Fleet:

1. Resilient Lady: Post her Australian sojourn, she will anchor in Athens from May to July 2024. Sailors can experience diverse trips, from the Grecian magic of Santorini and Mykonos to a blend of Greek and Croatian marvels. Additionally, the ship will embark on epic journeys like a 44-night repositioning from Athens to Australia, pausing at iconic destinations like Dubai and Bali.

2. Valiant Lady: Post her Barcelona return in October 2023, she sets forth from Miami to the Caribbean. By 2024, she will take on the mantle from her sister ship, Scarlet Lady, offering much-loved Caribbean rotations.

3. Scarlet Lady: The Mediterranean sun will witness Scarlet from May to October 2024, with two iconic seven-night itineraries. After undergoing rejuvenation in a dry dock, she’s set for a grand 16-night Transatlantic journey from Rome to Miami, with enchanting stops in between.

4. Brilliant Lady: The world of cruising was eagerly awaiting her. Yet, even the best-laid plans face challenges. Due to unforeseen logistical concerns, the launch of Brilliant Lady has been postponed. However, the brand ensures that impacted guests receive enticing offers, rebooking perks, and on-board credit. As Michelle Bentubo stated, “While we face challenges, our commitment to excellence never wavers. We eagerly await welcoming our sailors onboard soon.”

Virgin Voyages always has its sailors at the heart of its decisions. Impacted travellers by the new itineraries will get options to rebook with additional benefits or even a full refund.

Exciting promotional offers are on the horizon. There’s a 30% off on Med 2024 voyages and up to a $600 Bar Tab for those who book by September 28. Select Caribbean sailings and repositioning voyages also come with lucrative discounts.
