With the same adoring and stylish hospitality that Zelda Fitzgerald was once so fond of, Asheville’s newest boutique hotel, Zelda Dearest, will open its doors on October 8, 2023, inviting guests to step into a delicate moment in time and fall madly in love with Asheville. Remembered by many as a dramatic and spontaneous debutante, Zelda Sayre possessed fierce talents as an artist, novelist, poet, dancer, and, according to many, a terribly intoxicating delight.
Zelda’s captivating personality will be reflected throughout Zelda Dearest, which opens as an intimate 20-room boutique hotel set in three thoughtfully restored turn-of-the-century mansions within Asheville’s South Slope neighborhood. With timeless and fashionable interiors by Nashville-based design firm, Anderson Design Studio, each room has an enchanting personality, much like Zelda herself. Inspiring guests to discover a new chapter in their Asheville story with each visit, Zelda Dearest provides an unforgettable guest experience drawing on Zelda’s romantic perspectives and artistic character by mixing soft, feminine pink tones with bold and worldly accents.
Tucked away in the hotel is a darling parlor bar inspired by the clandestine meetings with Scott that first ignited their whirlwind courtship, leaving Zelda wistfully nostalgic and furiously imaginative in her writing and artistry. The cocktail bar will be helmed by local Asheville award-winning chef, Jacob Sessoms, who was inspired to bring Zelda’s devastatingly romantic prose to life with the concept.
Zelda Dearest, which is the second partnership between Lark Hotels, Hatteras Sky and its capital partner Somera Capital East, is now accepting reservations for hopeless romantics to embark on a whirlwind escapade with Asheville beginning October 8, 2023 with rates starting at $319.
