MarineMax Yachts announced the sale of “Patriot.” “Patriot” a 2019 Ocean Alexander 112’ Tri-Deck was sold by Brandon Flaherty with MarineMax Fort Myers.
“Patriot” was delivered in early 2019 to her original owner. But in the fall of 2019, she was traded into Ocean Alexander for a larger vessel. Brandon Flaherty of MarineMax introduced the vessel to her current owner, who came along shortly after the yacht was traded in. The new owner had previously owned numerous custom yachts, so a high standard was needed for his next vessel. After reviewing the vessel, he desired to customize several interior and exterior areas. After looking at the conceptual drawings, he saw the upcoming Ocean Alexander Legacy line. There were desires to follow that style. Additionally, he and his wife wanted to customize the interior to flow better for how their family would use the vessel.
It was over a two-year project working with Ocean Alexander on exterior design amendments, Evan Marshall, the vessel’s exterior and interior designer, and the shipyard to complete the project. Modifications included a redesign of the galley to have a country kitchen layout. This was desired as they operated the vessel with minimal crew, and their family liked to gather in the galley. Other amendments included adding a raised forward-facing dinette in the pilot house. The entire interior received new soft goods as well. The exterior received numerous modifications, including a new paint job with metallic gray hull sides, black masking stripes around the sky lounge and a custom hardtop on the flybridge deck. When launched in the spring of 2023, she was virtually a new vessel. She just completed her first voyage from Fort Lauderdale to Boston, where she will cruise for the summer before returning to Ft Lauderdale for the winter.
Some other noteworthy sales from the past month are a 2023 Ocean Alexander 37L sold by Scott Roberton out of MarineMax Clearwater, a 2023 Azimut 78 FLY sold by Charles Helgeson out of MarineMax Fort Myers, and a 2023 Ocean Alexander 32L sold by Michael Tyrrell out of MarineMax Yacht Center.
