Princess Cruises, the famous cruise line delivering unforgettable cruise experiences for four decades, is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary sailing the Mediterranean in 2025.
To commemorate this milestone, Princess Cruises is proud to present two of its newest and largest ships, Star Princess and Sun Princess, which will grace the Mediterranean seas in the upcoming season.
The 2025 cruises and cruisetours season promises adventure-seeking travellers an unparalleled European experience with abundant natural beauty, rich history, diverse cultures, and captivating traditions. The voyages will commence from Southampton, UK (London) in 2025, with the sale of tickets for Sky Princess, Regal Princess, and Emerald Princess opening on May 25. Mediterranean-based ships, including the new Star Princess, Sun Princess, and Majestic Princess, will go on sale starting June 1.
Princess Cruises first ventured into the Mediterranean in 1985. In honour of its 40th anniversary, the majestic Star Princess will join her sister-ship, Sun Princess, in the Mediterranean for her inaugural season. Starting August 4, 2025, Star Princess will embark on a nine-day Grand Mediterranean voyage, offering a breathtaking roundtrip from Rome, Italy, encompassing iconic destinations such as Florence, Barcelona, and Mykonos. Following this, a variety of 10-day cruises, also departing from Rome, will be available for travellers seeking an extended exploration of the Mediterranean’s treasures.
Meanwhile, the stunning Sun Princess will sail on seven-day Mediterranean voyages, departing from Barcelona, Rome, and Athens. Star Princess and Sun Princess boast next-generation features and offer an exceptional experience for their 4,300 guests. With over 1,500 balconies and 29 restaurants and bars spread across 21 decks, these ships redefine luxury cruising. A groundbreaking design element is the glass sphere that bathes the Piazza in natural light, offering guests panoramic world views. Another highlight is The Dome, an innovative top-deck entertainment space inspired by the tiered cliffs of Santorini.

- British Isles: Emerald Princess and Regal Princess will offer 10- to 14-day cruises from London (Southampton), inviting guests to explore the heritage and hillside castles of the British Isles. From the rugged Scottish Highlands to the legendary pubs and The Beatles’ hometown of Liverpool to the prehistoric wonder of Stonehenge, these voyages promise a journey through history. Late-night stays in Belfast allow guests to experience the vibrant nightlife of the region.
