This week, Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia (UWEA) marks a decade of memorable achievements.

A series of birthday celebrations will be held in Victoria, with 25 UWEA wineries gathering first on the Mornington Peninsula at Montalto (one of UWEA’s founding members) on Wednesday 1 March, then meeting with media and tourism trade partners back in Melbourne on Thursday 2 March.  The celebrations are sponsored by Tourism Australia and Visit Victoria, with additional support from event partners, The Future Laboratory, Polestar and The Emerald Peacock.

With the support of Tourism Australia, in February 2013, the 11 founding members started collaborating, working together to create compelling experiences that encouraged visitors to go beyond the cellar door.  Their goal? To lead with their world class wine credentials, to offer unique access to special people and places, and showcase how the diversity and innovative approach puts the wines and the winemakers in the spotlight on the world stage, so customers can discover why there’s truly nothing like Australian wine.

“10 years on, we are incredibly proud of the continued growth of our members, all award-winning wineries who recognise the importance of our regions, makers, land and history by providing inspirational immersive tourism experiences for wine enthusiasts and experience seekers alike”, said Kate Shilling, Executive Officer, Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia.

“As Australia’s leading wine tourism collective, we’re excited to see where the next ten years can take the brand and the business that is Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia”.

From Margaret River to the Mornington Peninsula and everywhere in between, at Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia, the membership is growing, and their wineries are showing the way.   Unlocking the mystery of history (Australia is home to some of the world’s oldest vines), connecting wine with the creative arts, integrating terroir with traditional owners and indigenous culture, and matching the provenance of local produce with the terroir and rich tapestry of established and emerging wine varieties, the portfolio continues to evolve.

More welcoming announcements are imminent as the future goal for Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia is to be 50 wineries strong within 5 years continuing to be Australia’s leading wine tourism collective and very much present on the global stage.
