Foodini breaks barriers for peopleFederico Zulueta, the owner of Dicki’s New Farm, a Brisbane – based dining venue partnered with the app, is finding the platform is streamlining the management required to meet dietaries safely, especially during peak season. Before Foodini, our staff were researching on the spot to accommodate some of our patrons with lesser known dietries. ” said Federico at Dicki’s New Farm.

It’s never been easier to enjoy the holiday season as the ground-breaking dining app, Foodini launches in popular holiday destinations this summer. Our app allows all people, regardless of their needs, not only to enjoy the experience of dining out but to enjoy their holiday with comfort and confidence using reliable, transparent and credible information,” said Foodini Co-Founder Dylan McDonnell.

The new app enables diners to build a profile and match menus specific to their dietary needs in seconds, giving travellers the confidence to dine out safely while on holiday. Approximately 2000 restaurants across Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Byron Bay have been onboarded to the platform using Accredited, Practising Dietitians who review the ingredients on menus of Australian restaurants. Australia is the food allergy capital of the world 1, with 1 in 3 Australians having specific dietary needs.

Co-Founder Timo Kugler agrees, “Foodin i is an excellent solution for those with dietary needs seeking somewhere safe to dine out while on holidays.

Together, we wanted to create a solution that makes it easy to navigate food confidently based on a person’s dietary needs.

After successful launches in culinary capitals Sydney and Melbourne in 2022, Foodini’s expansion into the four major holiday destinations comes in response to research claims.

The Foodini App currently features over 3,500 restaurants and will be in all major Australian cities by the end of 2023.

“In the peak holiday season, over 50% of our customers per week have specific dietary requirements. It is the only app that utilises Accredited Practising Dietitians to ensure accurate information. They decided, in 2020, to create a solution that makes it easy to navigate food confidently, which is especially relevant while travelling.

Once downloaded, users easily create a customised profile detailing their specific requirements and matching them to relevant restaurants, cafes and other venues in the area.

Foodini breaks barriers for people travelling with dietary needs this summer. It’s also a crucial part of the culture, gatherings, socialising and holidaying, which we believe everyone should enjoy. Travelling with dietary needs can be a pain point for some.

Co-Founders Dylan McDonnell and Timo Kugler personally experienced living with dietary needs.

Foodini caters to over 50+ dietaries, including all mandatory allergens – from coeliac disease and lactose – intolerance to veganism, pescetarians and more. Users can then see a breakdown of what they can and cannot eat on each menu.” Locals and visitors in Byron Bay, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast can now download the user-friendly, free Foodini app on the Play Store or the App Store. Foodini makes it much easier for our FOH staff and chefs during the busy period, as all the information is in one spot.
