Two rising stars of business travel are celebrating joining the prestigious GBTA Ladders programme. Digital and commercial professionals from global travel management, events and sustainability consultancy, the ATPI Group, are looking forward to excelling further thanks to the international mentoring committee.
ATPI’s Stevie-Leigh Harrison, digital services manager, and Vishal Sawant, commercial director – Asia, have become mentees on the programme, which will allow them to deepen industry connections, further trade knowledge, and build their business travel management acumen.
Vishal Sawant said: “I am thrilled to become a mentee with GBTA Ladders. When I applied, I saw the opportunity to bring the best out of myself and my teammates in the pursuit of a common goal. There are very few industry platforms that provide you with an opportunity to exchange ideas between different verticals and organisations while simultaneously shaping the future of that industry. Over the years, the GBTA and Ladders committee has helped to evolve the travel industry and ATPI staff being part of such committee will not only help bring our ideas to the world but will also help us to learn and improve.”
Stevie-Leigh added: “Since completing the ATPI rising star internal development programme, I’ve been keen to continue improving my key skills and seek out further industry networking opportunities. The Ladders programme means that I can gain the necessary insights required to take my career with ATPI to the next level. I will be able to further support my colleagues with the newfound skills I will gain and to grow with ATPI as we continue to evolve our offering.”
GBTA Ladders is a unique global team mentor programme through which members can expand their professional development within the travel and meetings industry. The committee is led by accomplished and successful executives from buyer and supplier backgrounds alike, who guide talented mentors and mentees from the corporate travel community. GBTA members serve on committees on a voluntary basis and work to advise GBTA leadership and members on the latest trends, developments and best practices that fall under a committee’s jurisdiction.
