“AIME is undoubtedly the most trusted and significant business event held in the region,” she said.

AIME will open its doors next year to 400 hosted buyers, 2,000 visitor buyers and over 300 exhibitors including our Asia Pacific neighbours and representatives from the Middle East, USA and Europe.

AIME’s highly anticipated Welcome Event returns and this year will be held at a secret location to drive further excitement around anniversary celebrations.

Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) has announced its return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) from 13 – 15 February 2023 where the industry will come together to celebrate its 30th Anniversary.

Calder commented, “there is no other show in the APAC region that guarantees introductions with such highly qualified and vetted buyers, and this was reinforced by the $120 million written at AIME 2022.”

Attendees can expect to see a reimagined show floor including dedicated zones for tech suppliers, hotel chains and international pavilions – all designed to enhance the show experience and facilitate networking. This committee consists of eight leaders from the Asia Pacific meetings and events industry, who together, will guide the curation of the Knowledge Program, held on Monday, 13 February.

AIME’s home – the MCEC, is the first convention centre in the world to have a six Green Star rating and this commitment to sustainability has underpinned AIME’s 30-year legacy. We’re thrilled with the support we’ve received from international destinations along with Australia’s convention bureaus – every state in Australia will be represented at AIME next year. It sets the scene for a wonderful 30-year celebration.”

AIME will also add rigour to its Knowledge Program with the establishment of a new initiative – the Knowledge Program Advisory Committee. The program is set to spark interest, stir debate and engage all areas of the events sector. “Five months out from the show and AIME has already sold over 80 percent of its show floor. In this way, little has changed over its trajectory,” she said.
