AmistadTravel brings some wonderful and memorable experiences. It can also provide truly horrible and unforgettable occurrences. When I choose a destination, I try to find the places that are consistent in giving us travel satisfaction again and again. Japan is one of those destinations. It ticks all boxes. Culture, innovation, tradition, courtesy, quality, customer service excellence, food experiences that continually delight, colour, pageant, festival, and many surprises. It’s a safe destination and more than lives up to its reputation. More about that in future articles.

We have all waited up to 3 years to visit Japan and there is huge pent-up demand, so start your planning. Naturally, Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto will be on your list, but don’t miss areas like Kyushu and Nagoya, and Hokkaido. I’ll explain later why these are great alternatives or additions to your travel plans. Japan probably requires more than one trip! I hope that my articles about Japan will provide some assistance in your planning, anticipations, and expectations.

I have just been to Japan for 7 weeks and have current and relevant perspectives. My articles will talk about customer service-related subjects that are relevant to a visit to Japan, to smooth the process and provide more time to enjoy yourselves.

One of the challenging tasks, when you decide to visit a new destination, is choosing a hotel or apartment for your stay. Searching for a hotel or apartment that will enhance your visit to any country, can be time-consuming and challenging. Sometimes you have the good fortune to hit the jackpot, sometimes not! I’m going to tell you about one that delivered all we were hoping for.

The Amistad Residential Hotel, in Fukuoka, is about a 10-12 minute walk from the Hakata train and bus station which includes a vast shopping and eating complex, both underground and throughout its 10+ floors. Hakata Station is an enormous complex housing platform for local and express trains as well as many shopping, dining, entertainment, and information facilities. The station is filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Everyone can find something here! You can also get the Shinkansen trains from here.

The Amistad Hotel is in a calm and ordered area that is central to everything you would want. Staying in the heart of Fukuoka – Set 200 m from Sugawara Shrine, Amistad Hotel Fukuoka offers 29-room accommodation with a restaurant, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Complimentary Wi-Fi is featured throughout the property.

This 31 sqm accommodation is fitted with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with a bidet, slippers, and a hairdryer. A microwave, a fridge and a stovetop are also offered, as well as a kettle. Some rooms have a washing machine for those longer stays.

The Amistad gains top marks from all hotel search engines and deserves it. From the moment you walk in the door and come across the friendly reception, you feel welcome. The smartly dressed young people speak English and are professional, friendly, and courteous as you come to expect and enjoy in Japan. The Amistad has only been open since 2021, is modern design and decor, fresh and naturally very clean. State-of-the-art at reasonable prices.

In my next article, I will chat with Amistad Residential Hotel’s Consultant, Risa Nakahara, for some special insights into what makes Amistad a hospitality winner.
