Spread the love

From the minds behind Opa Bar + Mezze and Fatcow Steak & Lobster comes a brand new venture, Yamas Greek + Drink and it opens today!

Hospitality duo Michael Tassis and Caio Rossetto’s latest restaurant will offer modern Greek fare, favouring the tastes of the Aegean alongside an extensive wine and cocktail list – which seems entirely appropriate given its location in the spiritual home of Brisbane’s Greek community, West Village.

Designed as a sister restaurant to beloved Opa along the Brisbane River, Yamas is set to impress with culinary inspiration coming from the portside town of Thessaloniki. And while you can expect some similarities between the two venues, Yamas has a take of its own with a focus on a love of good food with a side of good times.

On the menu, you can expect authentic Greek dishes available for breakfast, lunch and dinner including Ioannina Eggs with manouri cheese, red sauce and pita bread; lamb kleftiko (slow-cooked lamb leg); chargrilled lobster live from the tank served with capers and ladolemono sauce; and wagyu beef moussaka, just to name a few!

Inspired by the delight of sharing and eating together, Yamas boasts an open and airy venue that overlooks West Village’s Mollison Park, making it the perfect spot for celebrating with groups of family and friends. With banquet menus set to be released after their opening, you can be sure to celebrate and be treated like a true Greek when holding your next event within the venue.

With ‘Yamas’ translating to ‘a toast to good health’, it’s only fair that you should join them from Thursday, July 28 with a glass full of something flashy to celebrate the opening.
