Having received 140 applicants worldwide, the five-star luxury resort has named Damien Rider as the winner of their Inspirational Idol Contest 2022 – an individual who has overcome all obstacles to become an encouraging beacon of motivation for others. Damien Rider has won an all-expenses-paid trip to Cora Cora Maldives on a Premium All-Inclusive Gourmet Meal PlanÒ for seven nights in celebration of the impressive physical feats he has accomplished, and his determination to overcome obstacles to achieve great things.
Haunted by a difficult childhood, Damien Rider often found he was forced to fend for himself and relied on his survival instincts to become the person he is today. Over the last 10 years, Damien Rider has worked incredibly hard to become a multiple world-record-breaking Adventure Athlete undertaking impressive feats that put his body and mind to the test including, paddling through 500 miles of shark-infested waters, skateboarding the entirety of Route 66 through the scorching desert, and running a marathon with a mattress on his shoulder. Damien Rider has created two National Geographic documentaries entitled Heart of the Sea and Rise Above, as well as written four books including One Breath Meditation, a revolutionary art of destressing that Damien Rider created to promote the importance of wellness and mindfulness.
